ORGANIZER

OneSong Orchestra

_

Featuring music and cultures of Taiwan, OneSong Orchestra insists on playing two kinds of music: music written by Taiwanese composers and music taking inspiration from elements of Taiwan. The aim is to enrich classical music with Taiwanese culture and to revitalize the Taiwanese music with classical music practice. As an echo of the power of culture, “more local, more global”, the Orchestra hopes to present the music and cultures of Taiwan with the most profound emotions and highest standards. Since its founding in 2017, the Orchestra has been known for its creativity and vigor in the domestic music circle. As of this year, the Orchestra has performed in nearly 300 concerts of various scales, among which the box office performance of its annual concerts exceeds 90% on average. Different from an ordinary a classical orchestra, OneSong Orchestra gives performances in a variety of types. Apart from playing in formal concerts, the Orchestra has co-produced with Formosa TV “Sounds of Taiwan” Program. As many as 180 Taiwanese songs were played, striking a chord among the audience. Starting from 2019, the Orchestra has consecutively organized its New Year’s Eve concert titling “Sounds of Taiwan”. Dedicated to the people in Taiwan, the Concert was also streamed worldwide via television and the Internet. Starting from September 2019, the Orchestra has been invited by Police Broadcasting Service to perform in its new nationwide music program, “PBS Concert Hall – Sounds of Taiwan”. At the end of 2022, the Orchestra was even invited by BaoDao Radio to collaborate on its program, “Greatest Sounds of Taiwan by the OneSong Orchestra” to share the beauty of music of Taiwan. Moving forward with heartfelt gratitude, the Orchestra volunteers to organize two charity concerts every year. Fulfilling the idea of a “mobile concert hall”, the Orchestra has taken its steps to bring wonderful music to every place of Taiwan, making music easily accessible. More than 100 concerts have been organized over the past 8 seasons. OneSong Orchestra wishes to exert maximum influence with the support from the private sector. Taking the form of classical music, an international language, the sound from Formosa cannot only be recognized at home, but also touch the heart of overseas listeners.
